Nintendo's Dragalia Lost earned $100 Million in almost a Year
Dragalia Lost crossed the $100 million mark in revenue. This is Nintendo’s second most profitable mobile title, according to Sensor Tower.
Dragalia Lost
Japan was expected to be the largest market for Dragalia Lost.
This country accounted for 58% of its income for all time. The share of revenue in the USA was 21% — $21 million.
In terms of revenue, Dragalia Lost surpassed another Nintendo title quite a bit — Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. To date, the players’ expenses for the latter have reached $99 million. But it is important to note that Animal Crossing was released in November 2017, while the launch of Dragalia Lost took place in September 2018.
Both games are still inferior to Fire Emblem Heroes. This Nintendo mobile hit earned $591 million in two and a half years.
According to early forecasts, Dragalia Lost could become the least profitable mobile game of the Japanese company. That didn’t happen. Already in the first month, her ARPU in Japan reached a staggering $25.
Now the average ARPU Dragalia Lost in the launch countries is $33, that is, it is approaching $38 Fire Emblem Heroes. At Animal Crossing, the average ARPU worldwide does not exceed $3.30.
With all the successes of Dragalia Lost, the monthly indicator of player spending on it has decreased over time. In October, it was $25 million, but last month it reached only $3.6 million. However, in June, the game still generated a quarter of Nintendo’s profits from the mobile business.
