Lineage 2: Revolution is no longer Netmarble's Main Revenue Driver
For the first time since its release, the mobile blockbuster Lineage 2: Revolution has lost to another title Netmarble in terms of revenue share. He managed to beat the game Blade & Soul: Revolution.
The share of Lineage 2: Revolution in the first fiscal quarter was 15%. At the same time, Blade & Soul: Revolution brought Netmarble 16% of revenue. The game was released last December only in South Korea.
Probably, new changes are coming to the publisher’s hit list: on May 9, Netmarble released King of Fighters All Star in South Korea. It entered the top three highest-grossing mobile games in the country, having managed to visit the first place, according to App Annie.
Now Netmarble really needs earning hits. The publisher’s report for the first fiscal quarter is not encouraging. The publisher’s net profit collapsed by almost 50% in annual terms, amounting to $37.6 million. Although the indicator grew by 189% on a quarterly basis, according to Pocket Gamer. The publisher’s sales for the same quarter decreased by 5.9% to $424.6 million.
