Games Factory Talents will open a job fair. Finnish companies will hunt Russian specialists on it
Finnish gaming teams are ready to come to Russia for employees themselves. At least, they will definitely come to St. Petersburg for the IT and Games Job Fair. It will take place on June 15.
The fair is a chamber event designed for 150 people.
Its organizers have two goals:
- to help Finnish IT and game development employers find employees in Russia;
- to help Russian developers start their career abroad.
The fair has a non-standard format of attendance. A very limited number of applicants can get to it — only those who will be invited to an interview by participating employers.
It works like this:
- a potential employee sends his resume as an application for participation in the fair;
- resumes are viewed by Finnish companies, they also mark all suitable candidates;
- only the marked applicants get the opportunity to attend the IT and Games Job Fair in St. Petersburg;
- at the fair itself, each applicant is interviewed by companies that are interested in them.
The event will not be limited to interviews alone. In the first half of it, there will be performances by participating companies, as well as the partner of the event, the Talents in Games service.
To date, Finnish companies such as Varjo, Yousician, Panzerdog and Rehaboo have already confirmed their participation in the fair. Each of them has places open to Russian specialists.
In addition, the organizer of the fair, the recruitment agency Games Factory Talents, will present its own pool of vacancies for top Finnish gaming offices.
Of course, not only these companies are on the list of participants. The organizer informs that they are being added constantly, so it makes sense to keep track of site updates.
By the way, a couple of weeks before the event — on May 22 — a webinar will be held where you can ask the organizers about the specifics of working in Finland. Everyone will be able to take part in the webinar.
