“It was a wonderful adventure and it has come to an end.

I’m leaving GI. It’s strange to write this myself, but it’s true,” Donskikh said.

He called the official reason for his departure a discrepancy in his views on the future with Igor Matsanyuk, chairman of the board of directors of Game Insight, and Anatoly Ropotov, CEO of the company.

“At some point our views on the future diverged, and I respect the right of Igor and Tolya to move the company where they see fit. I wish them good luck in this. And I will move on in my own direction,” Donskikh wrote.

Maxim Donskikh became the president of Game Insight in October 2015. Prior to that, he held the post of vice president of marketing at the company. As part of Game Insight, he has been working since 2010, when only the Road 404 studio he founded became part of the company.

Earlier Top managers have already left Game Insight. In 2015, Alexander Vashchenko left the post of president, in 2014 Leonid Sirotin left the position of lead producer, and a couple of months before that, its founder and at that time CEO Alice Chumachenko left the company.

The latter, under the Donskys’ post, noted: “It’s a pity to see the founders leaving their beloved wonderful company one by one. I’ve always admired companies where it’s different.”

Under the leadership of the Donskys, Game Insight has released its main hit — the mobile shooter Guns of Boom. The company’s monthly revenue from January 2016 to January 2019 increased from $1.8 million to $3.2 million, according to DataMagic.
