Tim Cook: Apple Arcade is a service for players of all ages
The CEO of Apple made a statement about the new Arcade game service. According to him, games for him are suitable for the widest range of users.
Apple Arcade games will be available on all platforms of the Apple company
The statement was made as part of a conference call dedicated to the company’s financial results for the second quarter of this year.
With more than a hundred new games without ads and behavior tracking, without additional purchases and with respect for user privacy, we have created a service for players of all ages, from children to teenagers and adults, a service that families can use together.

He also noted that the service will offer the market a “different kind of games” that will perfectly suit both developers and players. At the same time, no new details were said about the service itself.
Cook only noticed that by the end of March, the company had 390 million active paid subscriptions. So the company considers this type of content distribution to be a significant driver of its service business.
Recall that Apple Arcade was announced in March of this year. This is a subscription service with its own section in the App Store and Mac Store. All projects from it will be at least Apple mobile exclusives. Access to them will be possible only by subscription.
According to rumors, some of the games for the service are being developed with the money of the Apple company itself. The amount of total planned investments in the development of such exclusives is about $ 500 million.
