Wanted: Lead programmer at Banzai Games, level artist at Alternativa Games and sound designer at MyTona.

It’s time for another selection of the most interesting vacancies of the week, as well as related news. For more than a year, the selection was prepared for you by Alina Wise from Values Value. Since February, Alina has moved from the position of Head of Recruiting to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the company. Anastasia Mikhailova takes over the role of Alina. Alina the WiseTechnical vacancy of the week:

Lead Programmer/Unity team lead, Banzai Games (Moscow, remotely)

Moscow studio Banzai Games has opened a vacancy for a leading Unity programmer. The specialist will lead a team of “unitists” developing the client part of the game. It will be necessary to develop the client’s architecture and lead the project from the prototype stage to the global launch.

Requirements:

  • confident knowledge of C#;
  • experience in developing client-server games;
  • experience in optimizing for mobile platforms;
  • two years of experience working as a senior developer;
  • the presence of running projects in the portfolio.

Art vacancy of the week:

Level artist (mobile games), Alternativa Games (Saint Petersburg)

The St. Petersburg division of Alternativa Games (“Tanks Online”) is looking for a level artist for a new mobile project. Responsibilities will include designing game levels in Unity (working with lighting, working out the setting, designing levels, setting tasks for missing assets).

Requirements:

  • ability to work in Unity3D and other 3D editors;
  • basic skills of working with art assets in Unity;
  • knowledge of the basics of composition, artistic taste;
  • portfolio availability (levels in various engines, environment objects);
  • understanding basic workflows;
  • responsibility in work, the ability to independently search for information on emerging tasks, the ability to self-study.

Additional advantages will be:

  • knowledge and understanding of the basic gameplay mechanics of top-down games;
  • knowledge of 3d modeling packages;
  • ability to work in the version control system (Git);
  • experience in creating models of environment objects/textures (props, plants, tile textures, environment elements, modular constructors).

“Sound” vacancy of the week:

Sound Designer, MyTona (Saint Petersburg)

MyTona is looking for a sound designer in his St. Petersburg studio to write game tracks, voice the environment and interface. You will also need to work on the sound for the company’s videos.

Requirements:

  • experience in writing music of different styles, as well as working on game sound from two to three years;
  • experience with sound mixing, knowledge of sound plug-ins, etc.;
  • skills of working with Interactive Audio Wwise;
  • ability to work in a team and meet deadlines;
  • it is mandatory to have a professional portfolio consisting of tracks of different stylistics and dubbing (sound design) of games.

Additional benefits will be:

  • experience recording sounds and working with sound recording equipment;
  • skills of working in DAW REAPER and Fmod Studio.
