« We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined this journey. And we expect you to enjoy every minute of it!” — Square Enix reported on the official Twitter account of the game.
But there is a nuance. The original tweet uses the term “shipped”. It is used when referring to the supply (not sale) of physical versions of the game to stores. But sometimes in reporting, this means both deliveries and sales. In this case, Square Enix does not make clarifications.
Kingdom Hearts III is the first game in the series to top the UK retail chart. In the release week, the game was on the first line of the top in Japan.
