Players have spent over $50 million in the mobile version of PUBG
Gamers’ spending on the PUBG Mobile online action movie has exceeded $50 million since the game’s international launch in March 2018. The revenue driver of the mobile “battle royale” in the last few weeks has been the sale of Elite Royale Pass subscriptions, according to the analytical company Sensor Tower.
The Elite Royale Pass costs about $10 and allows gamers to earn special currency, which can then be exchanged for exclusive cosmetic items and other game content.
According to analysts, before the advent of subscriptions, PUBG Mobile generated about $170 thousand per day. After the start of subscription sales on June 19 of this year, the daily revenue of the title increased 4 times to $689 thousand. Thanks to the demand for Elite Royale Pass, the mobile version of PUBG last month rose from 68th to 33rd place in the global ranking of the highest-grossing mobile games.
