According to Newzoo, in two years, the revenue of the American gaming market has increased by $6.8 billion and now stands at $30.4 billion.
325.7 million people live in the United States. Of these, 178.7 million Americans play games.
On mobile, the number of men and women playing is almost equal, while on consoles, the gender gap is very large.
In the last six months, 79% of paying gamers have spent on in-game purchases.
42% of American Internet users watch gaming video content, and only 33% do it on mobile devices.
11% of those who are aware of this phenomenon are interested in esports. Unexpected fact: the most popular esports franchise in the USA is the fighting game Super Smash Bros.
