Natives of Zynga and TinyCo have teamed up to work on chat games

Startup Knock Knock, founded by immigrants from Zynga and TinyCo, will develop mobile chat games that can be played in messengers. The team has already raised $2 million for their projects.

The first Facebook WeChat game from Knock Knock will be released on Facebook Messenger this year, and a WeChat game will be released early next year.

The owners of Knock Knock emphasize that their projects will not be simple interactive novels. These will be more complex mobile games, but they can be launched via messengers. Key gameplay elements will be built around the interaction of players with chatbots. For example, it can be an RPG game in which a chatbot is used to manage a party and send heroes on a quest.

“There will be no need to download the games, they will be linked to a fast messenger, which you already use. It will be easy to invite your friends to the game,” Andrew Friday, the company’s executive director, who previously worked as a senior product manager at Zynga, describes his idea.

Andrew is one of the two founders of the startup. The second is Andrew Green, who previously served as head of business operations at TinyCo.
