Ubisoft has started to deal with "toxic" players in Rainbow Six Siege
“Toxic” players are one of the main problems of most modern online games. Ubisoft spoke about countering the rude and interfering behavior of gamers in the tactical team shooter Rainbow Six Siege.
At the current stage, the project team protects the game audience from hooliganism by monitoring the game chat.
The Rainbow Six Siege Code of Conduct prohibits players from rude and obscene communication, as well as threats, insults and incitement to hatred and any discrimination based on gender, race and other characteristics.
Violators of this rule may receive a ban for a period of 2 days to life, depending on the severity of the violation.
In the future, the developers promise to add automatic filtering of the game chat and the function of blocking messages from players, with which gamers will be able to ignore text and voice messages from rude or annoying companions.
Ubisoft also reported on work on a system to combat fans of killing teammates, but did not tell exactly how it would work.
New measures against “toxicity” should come into force after the planned seasonal updates this year.
