Horizon Zero Dawn has sold 7.6 million copies. It took her a year to do that
The main exclusive Sony PlayStation 4 of last year noted yesterday Birthday. The game is a year old. During this time, the number of copies sold reached 7.6 million.
This was announced yesterday, February 28, by Sony. Such sales, according to the company, “made the game the best-selling project under the new trademark ever released on PlayStation 4.”
“We had great ambitions in connection with Horizon Zero Dawn. And when the release was already close, we understood that people were waiting for the project, but seeing such sales is something really mind–blowing,” said Hermen Hulst, co-founder and managing director of Guerrilla Games, the game developer studio.
Sony does not specify whether we are talking about the total sales of the original game and its add–on – Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds – or only about copies of the original sold.
Horizon Zero Dawn
For comparison, another major exclusive – Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – sold 8.7 million copies in 7.5 months.
However, it is important to take into account here: the game about the adventures of Nathan Drake was far from the first in the series.
Horizon Zero Dawn is a third–person action adventure with an open world. The game has two distinctive features – a setting in which prehistoric people seem to be fighting robot animals, and a combat system that requires the player to work out a unique strategy to defeat each type of monster.
