Zynga has released a three-in-a-row in India based on the national culture of the country
The American company Zynga has published a puzzle Rangoli Rekha: Color Match in India. The official launch was preceded by a softlonch, which lasted from August last year. Rangoli Rekha is aimed at Indian users: it was developed by a local studio, and the design of the game uses elements of the country’s cultural heritage.
In Rangoli Rekha: Color Match, the player selects “rangoli” from colored symbols — colored ornaments from the ancient spiritual traditions of India. In addition, the game features chakras, the Hindu festival of Diwali lights and the like.
The release of Rangoli Rekha: Color Match indicates Zynga’s intention to occupy its niche in the promising and fast-growing market of India.
Last year, the company announced its intention to double its presence in the Asian state. At the same time, Zynga’s Indian office in Bangalore is the second largest division of the company. Now there are 350 employees working there.
According to CII-TechSci Research, by 2020 the mobile audience in India will reach 628 million users.
In 2015, the analytical company SuperData estimated the potential of the Indian mobile market as comparable to the Chinese mobile market — the largest in the world in terms of the number of users.
