Mobile users in 2017 began to spend less time in games

The analytical company Flurry Analytics has prepared an annual report on the trends of the global market of mobile devices and applications. According to the study, in 2017, the duration of sessions in mobile games for 2017 decreased by 16%.

The total time spent using mobile apps increased by 6% last year. On average, a user spends more than 5 hours in his smartphone per day. At the same time, in 2016, the increase in duration was 11%.

The use of shopping apps has increased the most over the past year.

Users spent 54% more time in them than in 2016. The second longest usage time in 2017 was a group of applications with music, media and entertainment.

Flurry’s research is based on the analysis of data from more than a million applications received from 2.6 billion mobile devices.
