The ex-head of Kabam joined the creators of Critical Ops
Korean millionaire Kevin Chou will help the Finnish studio Critical Force to develop a mobile shooter Critical Ops as an esports. To this end, the former head of Kabam joined the board of directors of Critical Force.
Chow called Critical Force the creators of the first competitive shooter for mobile platforms. He said that he intends to participate in the development and transformation of Critical Ops into an esports project on a global scale.
Kevin Chu himself founded and heads the Korean Silicon Valley (KSV) esports organization, which owns and manages South Korea’s top teams in Overwatch, Heroes of the Storm, Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds and other disciplines.
Critical Ops is a mobile shooter, very similar in theme and gameplay to Counter-Strike. The game has been in development for 5 years and is distributed according to the frituplay model.
This week, the developers reported 30 million downloads of Critical Ops.
