Details about the launch of Wargaming Moscow
A week ago, Wargaming announced the launch of a development studio in Moscow. We took a short interview about her from the head of the new office, Andrey Zimenko.
Recall that the announcement of the opening took place on October 12. At the same time, it became known that Andrey Zimenko, the head of publishing in the Wargaming Mobile division, which Wargaming launched only this June, would take the helm of the new studio.

Andrey Zimenko, CEO of Wargaming Moscow: Moscow is one of the largest centers of mobile game development in the world. A large number of highly qualified specialists in the development, operation and promotion of mobile games are concentrated in Moscow. Wargaming is scaling its presence in the mobile gaming industry and is interested in talented specialists joining the Wargaming Moscow team.
At what stage of formation is the studio now?
Andrey: Now we are completing a number of administrative tasks related to the start of the new studio, as well as finishing repairs in the office. The project that the studio will work on has been determined, and development will start in the near future.
Besides you, who else will definitely be part of the team (what games did the guys work on?)
Andrey: A number of professionals have already joined Wargaming Moscow, who will form the core team for the new project. These are very experienced guys, each of them has more than 10 years of work in the gaming industry. We are not yet ready to disclose which projects are in the portfolio of the formed team. Also in Wargaming Moscow there are a number of vacancies in the development, art department and administration of the studio.
How many projects will the studio do at once?
Andrey: The studio starts with the development of a midcore AAA-quality game, which will fit perfectly into the Wargaming portfolio. The studio will expand over time, increasing the number of games in development and operation.
Who are you looking for first of all now?
Andrey: Right now, VFX Programmer and Level Designer/Technical Artist are the highest priority for us. We invite all talented, active and purposeful professionals with experience in mobile game development to join the new team.
Andrey: The studio will be located in the Nagatino I-land office center, a few minutes from the Technopark metro station. We have selected a spacious and bright office for comfortable and productive teamwork. Now we are finishing repairs, so we are not ready to share photos yet.
