Telltale Games was headed by a former vice president of Zynga
Pete Hawley has been appointed CEO of Telltale Games Studio. For the last three years, he has served as vice president and general manager of the gaming direction at Zynga mobile publishing house.
Prior to working at Zynga, Pete Hawley was one of the co-founders of the Red Robot Labs studio, which became a pioneer in the development of mobile games using augmented reality and player positioning on the ground.
Hawley will take the place of Dan Connors, who founded the studio in 2004 with Kevin Bruner and Troy Molander.
Commenting on Hawley’s appointment, Dan Connors noted that he no longer needs to push the project uphill, and now he trusts the development of the company to a person with a vision of how to promote interactive stories to a wide audience.
Telltale Games is known as the creator of adventure game “series” based on famous shows, titles and comics.
