Destiny 2 has overtaken PUBG in the number of online players
The Destiny 2 multiplayer shooter from Bungie simultaneously gathered over 1.2 million players in the first weekend after the release. This is more than the main Steam hit of this year – Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, which recently surpassed the mark of 1 million players.
At the same time, Destiny 2 is currently available only on consoles. The PC version of the game will be released on October 24. MMO shooter will be available through the gaming platform Battle.net , owned by Blizzard.
Despite the high rates of online activity of gamers, retail sales of Destiny 2 at the start were 58% lower than the first part, released in 2014. The latter may be explained in general by the decline in the physical sales market, and not by a decline in interest in the game.
