Minecraft copyright shop brought participants $1 million in 2 months

The creators of the game content for the Minecraft Marketplace store earned $1 million in two months of its existence.

Minecraft Marketplace allows members of the Minecraft community to sell virtual objects of their own authorship – from objects, models and textures to entire worlds created on the game engine.

At the time of opening in June of this year, 9 creators’ products were presented in the Marketplace, by now there are 12 of them.

This amount includes only the funds earned by the store participants and does not take into account the commission that Microsoft charges for each transaction.

The company does not disclose exactly how much it receives from purchases, but assures that the authors of the content get a large share.

It is known that Google, Apple, and Nintendo receive 30% of the cost of purchased add-ons for Minecraft on Android, iOS and Nintendo Switch.
