To attract a new audience, a story mode is introduced in World of Tanks
In the tank multiplayer blockbuster Wargaming, there will be story PvE campaigns that can be carried out alone. One of the tasks of the update is to reach a new audience.
The new mode is called War Stories. According to TJ Wagner, creative director and executive producer of Wargaming in Chicago, it is the next evolutionary stage in the development of the tank brand.
After its release on August 22, players will be able to play two campaigns (three missions each), the plot of which will be revealed through comics. They will be available for single and cooperative play. Wargaming plans to release new campaigns regularly.
That’s how the plot will unfold in World of Tanks
The introduction of a serious plot component into a free–play competitive MMO is not the most common move.
Wargaming hopes that this will not only return the interest of old users to the game, but also interest those who have not tried tanks before.
“By providing content for the game both alone and cooperatively, in addition to the traditional multiplayer game, the War Stories mode will make it possible to attract both new players and experienced tankers even more,” TJ noted.
