The former boss of Gaikai headed the ”startup-Tinder"
The ex-director of the Gaikai cloud gaming service, David Perry, became the head of the GoVyrl project, designed to find and promote promising beginnings.
GoVyrl application resembles the popular dating service Tinder, but is intended for startup authors and popular Instagram bloggers. Just like in Tinder, you can scroll projects to the right and left to accept or reject an offer.
If the interests of the parties are mutual, they have the opportunity to discuss the details of future cooperation.
According to GoVyrl, only owners of an Instagram profile with 5 thousand subscribers or more can offer their promotion services. The description of the startup says that with its help, businessmen will be able to present their projects to a potential audience of 550 million people.
“I personally believe that the future of influence marketing is much brighter than that of old—school advertising – television, magazines, even online banners,” said David Perry.
Influence marketing is increasingly being used to promote products in the gaming industry. Supercell, Space Ape, Seriously and other studios promoted their games using popular video bloggers and streams on Twitch and YouTube.
According to Sebastian Lindén, head of the Swedish studio Qaos Games, Instagram bloggers helped his project with the best free game in Sweden, gaining more than 70 thousand downloads in less than 12 days.
