Gameloft helped the telecom operator to create a gaming subscription service
Mobile operators are now launching their gaming subscription services as well. The creation of such a platform was announced by the Italian provider TIM. His partner in the project is Gameloft.
About the service
The platform is called TIM I love games. It is available to customers of the mobile operator on iOS and Android.
Unlike services such as Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass, TIM I love games contains both premium games and freeplay. The site presents a catalog of Gameloft games (including Asphalt Nitro, Real Football, Modern Combat: Rebel Guns) and other publishers. All of them do not contain IAP and advertising.
The subscription price for TIM I love games is €2 per month, according to Pocket Gamer.
Why Gameloft
One of the fields of activity of the French Gameloft is the creation of tools for gaming services. This also includes the white label platform for billing and analytics deployment.
In this direction, it cooperates with providers and device manufacturers around the world, as TIM said in a press release. Among them: Vodafon, Orange, LG, Samsung and Huawei. Gameloft provided the same solution for TIM I love games, Gamasutra writes.
The company decided to cooperate with TIM, as it is sure that the trend for a gaming subscription model will be stable. “We are convinced that such models are one of the new stages in the development of the industry, and it gives players a new opportunity to play and enjoy games,” said Yann Fourneau, vice president of global sales and distribution at Gameloft.
It should be noted that in recent months, the market for subscription gaming services has expanded significantly. Such giants as Apple, Google and Ubisoft have launched their platforms.
