It's now easier to get hooked on a subscription in the App Store

The first portion is free. Apple allowed developers to give the first months of an automatically renewable subscription either at a reduced price or at no cost at all.

The new subscription tool is called Introductory Pricing. Its task is to give an opportunity to increase the conversion to paying users to those developers who create applications with a subscription. Simply put, it is easier to get users hooked on regular automatic payments.

Introduction Pricing allows you to set three types of “initial price”. This gives marketers greater flexibility in forming a pricing policy focused on new users.

Free trial gives new users access to the service for free for a limited period of time.

For example, earlier in the App Store, in order to subscribe, it was necessary to make the first payment, after which the same amount was withdrawn on a monthly basis. Now there is no need for the first payment.

As part of Pay up front, new subscribers pay a special price once for the trial period.

Imagine that a subscription to your game costs $60 per year. You are offering newcomers to pay $15 for the first six months.

Pay as you go allows you to pay less for each payment period within the trial time.

That is, during the first three months of using the service, you pay for each month not $ 3.99, but $ 1.99.
