Despite the frituplay, Battleborn is Losing its Audience
Gearbox Software’s Battleborn MMO shooter is less and less interested in gamers — a year after the release, 100-200 players per hour gather in the game at the same time.
According to the analytical service GyitHyp, at the time of launch in May last year, Battleborn entered the 20 most popular games on Steam with an indicator of 8.6 thousand active users per hour.
But after 10 days, the title lost 47% of users, and a year later, the indicators dropped to their current values.

In an attempt to attract gamers, Gearbox has added a free trial to the game with access to all game modes and a set of 6 six playable heroes, the composition of which changes every week.
This caused a surge of interest with an increase in the active audience to 1 thousand people per hour, but after three weeks it decreased by 10 times.
GitHyp suggests that Gearbox Software will soon stop supporting the failed project and focus on the third part of the Borderlands shooter.
Released in 2012, Borderlands 2 is still in the top 50 popular Steam games, averaging about 12 thousand players per hour.
