The Australian Classification Board has confirmed that Silent Hill F has not been classified as refused in the country.

Stevivor, an independent gaming news outlet, initially posted an entry about Silent Hill F on March 14, 2025, but this entry has been taken down.

The Australian Classification Board stated, "Silent Hill F is not currently classified as 'Refused Classification' in Australia."

The Board noted, "The entry on the National Classification Database has been removed. A classification decision will be published to the National Classification Database ahead of the game's release."

According to Stevivor, the entry's removal may have resulted from an error in the self-reporting tool operated by the Australian Classification Board.

As an ACB spokesperson informed GamesIndustry.biz, self-reported ratings provided by this tool, managed by the International Age Rating Coalition, are completed by developers.

IGN elaborates that the tool is "a classification system designed for mobile and digitally delivered games."

With the International Age Rating Coalition's tool, developers complete an online questionnaire regarding their game, after which a rating is automatically generated and updated on the ACB's National Classification Database.

Earlier this month, a new cinematic trailer for Silent Hill F was released by Konami. In Japan, the game has received an 18+ rating, marking a first for the series.

In a previous instance, Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact was not approved for classification by the ACB because of "implied sexual violence."
