Another 43 Chinese apps have been banned in India. 8 of them are games

The Indian government continues to ban mobile applications created by developers from China. This time, AliExpress, Alipay and about forty other projects fell under the knife. There are also games on the Indian blacklist.

The official reason is still the same — damage to the sovereignty and integrity of India. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in its statement again accused Chinese applications of undermining the security of the state and public order.

The government justified its decision with “exhaustive reports” received from the Cybersecurity Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country. However, the country’s authorities did not disclose the contents of these reports.

Dating apps have suffered the most from India’s new actions — there are 14 of them in the list out of 43. In addition, the list includes four products belonging to Alibaba Group: Alibaba Workbench, AliExpress, Alipay Cashier and AliSuppliers.

There were also a lot of blocked games:

  • Identity VIsoland 2: Ashes of Time
  • BoxStar
  • Heroes Evolved
  • Happy Fish
  • Jellipop Match — Decorate your dream island!
  • Munchkin Match: magic home building
  • Conquista Online II

  • This is the third time that the Indian authorities have banned the projects of Chinese developers.

For the first time, the government of the country imposed a lockdown in June after the armed conflict in the Galvan Valley — then 59 applications were under ban. Two months later, 118 more apps were blocked in India, including PUBG Mobile, Game of Sultans and Rise of Kingdoms.
