Eagle Dynamics has confirmed that its employee has been arrested by the US authorities

Accused by the United States of buying and distributing instructions for F-16 military fighters Oleg Tishchenko really turned out to be an employee Eagle Dynamics. The company admitted that Oleg works for it. She also stated that she is working on the F-16 module for her flight simulator Digital Combat Simulator.

Recall that Oleg Tishchenko was recently extradited from Georgia to the United States. He faces up to 10 years for buying and distributing instructions to military fighters.

The fact is that such documentation is included in the American register of weapons, for the export of which an official license is required, which Tishchenko did not receive and which could not be issued to a citizen of the Russian Federation. Buying and selling such documentation, Tishchenko violated The US Arms Export Control Act.

After today’s news was widely publicized, Eagle Dynamics, whose headquarters are located in Switzerland, admitted that its employee was detained in the United States. However, she noted that “she was in no way involved in the actions of her employee, who acted privately and in her own personal interests.”

In an official statement, Eagle Dynamics insists that it “develops DCS aircraft game modules exclusively on the basis of publicly available, legal information and has never used or tried to obtain any information that is closed for dissemination.”

Eagle Dynamics also conducted an internal investigation, during which it “did not find anything in [the employee’s] materials that would be relevant to the allegations made against him. In particular, the investigation showed that the company’s resources were not used and that no documents with an export ban were stored on the company’s computers. In addition, the company confirms that the employee did not participate in the research and development of the new F-16 module, which is currently under development.”

The company does not intend to curtail or suspend the development of the module. In its statement, Eagle Dynamics did not mention its willingness to cooperate with the investigation and provide it with the results of the internal investigation. It was also not reported whether she was ready to somehow participate in the fate of Tishchenko.
