Media: Ironbird Creations hasn't paid employees for six months, majority of staff laid off

Employees of the Polish studio Ironbird Creations, which is developing the slasher Phantom Hellcat, have not received their salaries since December 2023. This was reported by the publication CD-Action, which spoke with former and current employees of the studio.

According to CD-Action's sources, the management of Ironbird Creations explains the lack of salary by the financial difficulties within the studio itself and its parent company, All in! Games. Employees were asked not to discuss these issues outside the company for fear that, in the wake of a scandal, Ironbird Creations would be unable to attract investments and would struggle more to pay off debts. In January, the board of All in! Games offered all employees of Ironbird Creations shares in the studio as compensation. It was initially assumed that salaries would be transferred soon, and in early March, developers were indeed given part of the money, but not all.

On May 23, 2024, All in! Games laid off more than half of the staff from Ironbird Creations, including the head of the studio and the creative director. Layoffs continued during the summer.

Currently, at least some affected employees of Ironbird Creations are planning to file a lawsuit.
