Now Zordix will pay Maximum Games only $42 million in cash and shares.
She will transfer another $30 million over the next three years if the publisher reaches certain financial goals. In order for Maximum Games to grow faster, the group of companies will also give it a loan of $10 million for 18 months.
It is assumed that with the help of the deal, Zordix will enter the American market, and Maximum Games will strengthen as an AA publisher in Europe.
“The acquisition of Maximum Games has given us access to an incredible infrastructure that has already proven successful in all aspects of publishing games,” said Matti Larsson, head of Zordix.
Christina Seelye, founder and CEO of Maximum Games, will now be Chief Operating Officer at the division level.
Maximum Games was founded in 2009 and is based in California, USA. She is engaged in publishing and distributing games. She has collaborated with Focus Home Interactive, Deep Silver, Funcom and Bigben Interactive. Maximum Games also includes two subsidiaries — development studio Modus Studios Brazil (formerly known as The Balance) and indie publisher Modus Games.
Zordix is a Swedish developer and publisher who also started working in 2009. In addition to Maximum Games, the group of companies includes six other brands. Dimfrost Studio, Invictus Games and Zordix Racing studios, as well as publishers Just For Games, Merge Games and Zordix Publishing.
