Swedish Fragbite Group bought the publisher of the mobile version of Dead Cells for € 5 million

Indie publisher Playdigious, which at one time released mobile versions of Dead Cells and Evoland, has now become part of the Swedish game company Fragbite Group (formerly FunRock). The takeover cost €5 million.

The purchase became known from the press release of Playdigious.

Note that in it the company did not disclose the size of the transaction. He was named in another news by Fragbite Group, which indicated that it paid the publisher € 3 million from its own funds and transferred a little more than €2 million in shares.

The remaining terms of the transaction are not specified.

According to Stefan Tengvall, head of Fragbite Group, the acquisition will expand the publishing capabilities of his company.

“Thanks to the takeover, Fragbite Group has a new direction — the publication of indie games. This gives us good opportunities to create a reliable platform and further growth,” Tengvall commented.

Now there are three other companies in the Fragbite Group, besides Playdigious. Two mobile game development studios, FunRock and Prey Studios, as well as a Fragbite media company specializing in esports events.

Playdigious is a French indie publisher that was founded in 2015 by the former founders of DotEmu. Among his well-known projects: mobile versions of Dead Cells, Evoland and Northgard, as well as Pix The Cat on Nintendo Switch and Dungeon of the Endless on PlayStation 4.
