MY.GAMES Venture Capital invests in an American studio with Russian roots Hypemasters
The investment division of MY.GAMES announced an investment in the Hypemasters studio, which was founded by immigrants from Russia. Now developers are working on creating two mobile projects at once.MY.GAMES Venture Capital (MGVC) has acquired a minority stake in the studio with the possibility of further integration into MY.GAMES.
Under the terms of the deal, Hypemasters will receive financial, marketing, human resources and operational support from the investor.
Hypemasters was founded by Boris Kalmykov (worked as a sales specialist at Facebook and Unity) and Sergiy Petrov (co-founder of Last Level, developer of World War Heroes and Modern Strike Online games). Now the company’s offices are located in St. Petersburg and London, and the team has people from Wargaming, Playrix and other studios.Hypemasters’
