Playrix acquired the Armenian studio Plexonic, the authors of Panda Jam
The Russian-based Playrix gaming corporation continues to expand. The company announced the purchase of the Armenian studio Plexonic, known for the Panda Jam game.

The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Under the terms of the agreement, Plexonic became Playrix Armenia. Plexonic founder and CEO Gevorg Sargsyan will remain at the head of the studio, which has received a new name and owner.
Plexonic was founded in 2008 in Yerevan. It positions itself as the first video game development studio in Armenia. Since its foundation, it has launched 60 titles. The most famous is the Panda Jam collapse project, developed jointly with SGN (today Jam City). The project was recognized as one of the games of the year by the social network Facebook in 2013. For the last year, the company has been trying itself in the hyper-casual direction.
As Playrix Armenia, the studio has already taken up the development of a new casual mobile game.
This is the first public deal for Playrix this year. At the end of last year, the company announced a number of acquisitions. Among other things, it acquired Serbian Eipix Entertainment and Ukrainian Zagrava Games. In total, the casual colossus spent $100 million on investments and purchases last year alone.
