The share of the mobile segment in the Brazilian gaming market has reached 40%

The turnover of the Brazilian gaming market grew to $2.24 billion over the year. 40% of this amount is revenue from mobile games.

This was announced by the co-founder of the analytical company LatinDV Julian Migura (Julian Migura), writes Pocket Gamer. According to Migura, the Brazilian market has almost doubled in a year. For comparison: in 2018, player spending in Brazil was $1.6 billion, according to Newzoo.

The size of the mobile segment is explained by the serious growth of the mobile audience in the country. Currently, 64% of citizens already own a smartphone. More and more Brazilians are getting access to the Internet, and hence to gaming tables.

Note: the Brazilian game rendezvous has turned a quarter of a century. It is one of the two leading markets in Latin America along with Mexico. As previously reported, the number of gaming companies in Brazil has more than doubled over the past four years.
