The South Korean company NCsoft has fired an “unspecified number of employees” from the American Iron Tiger Studios.
Judging by the company’s statement, there is no question of closing the studio itself.
NCsoft is converting Iron Tiger Studios and wants to transfer the development of an (unannounced) mobile project to a third-party company. The project has not been canceled, but the third-party developer has not yet been identified.
Iron Tiger is one of the three divisions of NCsoft along with ArenaNet and Ntreev Soft. The studio was established in 2015 in San Mateo, California. It adapts mobile projects of South Korean NCsoft for the Western market.
According to MCV, almost six months ago NCsoft closed Carbine Studios, the authors of WildStar. 50 employees lost their jobs.
