Capcom has disclosed its financial outcomes for the first nine months, concluding on December 31, 2024. Despite a significant 16.3% decrease in net sales, totaling ¥88.9 billion ($572.7 million), and a 33% reduction in net income, the company's net sales and operating income align with its fiscal expectations.

As a result, Capcom will maintain its current fiscal year projections, anticipating stronger performance in the latter half of the year because of upcoming title releases.

Financial Performance

For the period ending December 31, 2024, Capcom reported the following figures:

  • Net sales: ¥88.9 billion ($572.7 million), a 16% decline compared to the previous year
  • Operating income: ¥31 billion ($199.9 million), a 35% decrease from the previous year
  • Net income: ¥23 billion ($148.2 million), a drop of 33% year-on-year

In this timeframe, Capcom has marketed 246 titles in 225 global markets, enhancing the company's brand presence.

The Monster Hunter franchise demonstrated growth in unit sales, complemented by increased sales for titles like Resident Evil 4.

The company reaffirmed the launch of Onimusha Way of the Sword in 2026 and announced the commencement of a new Okami sequel.

Capcom highlighted that past major titles, particularly in the Digital Contents business, drove sales. Although total sales volumes in this sector dipped to 30.53 million units from 32.6 million in the same period the prior year owing to the scheduled release of Monster Hunter Wilds, sales volumes for catalog titles climbed to 28.61 million units, surpassing 26.7 million units from the previous fiscal year, facilitated by efforts to advance its digital sales strategy.
