Reports indicate that Moon Active has dismissed over 20 employees, mostly from its base in Lithuania, although personnel from Poland, Armenia, Ukraine, Türkiye, and Israel have also been affected.

The Lithuanian office was previously part of Melsoft before Moon Active acquired it in 2020.

While official confirmation of the layoffs from the company is pending, App2Top notes that many former employees are now seeking new opportunities on LinkedIn, with one Glassdoor review mentioning, "it was nice to work there for five years until [...] mass layoffs of [sic] January 2025."

In November 2021, Moon Active, known for Coin Master, secured $300 million in investment.

The wave of layoffs that began last year appears to be persisting into 2025. This month alone, closures include Freejam, Splash Damage, and Piranha Games, alongside Jar of Sparks and Ubisoft's reduction of 185 positions.

Moreover, today, it was reported that Fast Travel Games laid off 30 staff members, focusing on its publishing, marketing, and administrative divisions, and that Phoenix Labs let go a significant portion of its workforce.
