The creator of FFXV wants to develop game design with the help of artificial intelligence
The project manager of Final Fantasy XV, Hajime Tabata, became interested in the use of AI and procedural generation in game design. He plans to implement these developments in the next game.
Tabata said this in an interview with SBS.
According to him, while working on a new game, he and his team are focusing on a new game design and are additionally exploring the possibilities of AI and procedural technologies.
Hajime Tabata described it as a “new paradigm” in game design. He did not specify what exactly he meant.
Nothing is yet known about the current projects of Tabata and his team.
Tabata has previously said that he dreams of creating a Final Fantasy with a completely open world where every player could find adventures to their liking. But to make his dream come true, he would need unlimited funding.
