Sales of the Nioh slasher exceeded two million copies

Role-playing hack and slash from the creators Dead or Alive sold two million copies on Playstation 4 and PC, despite the failed launch of the desktop version.

The samurai action movie Nioh is a long—running one, first announced back in 2004, and released only in February 2017 on Playstation 4. Nine months later, a PC release was released, which caused a wave of critical reviews – there was no mouse support in the desktop version, keys could not be reassigned, and cut scenes were shown in low resolution. Developers have been actively refining the game, and now its rating on Steam has risen to 7/10.

May 28 developers, studio Team Ninja, announced that two million copies of the game have already been sold worldwide. The game was published by Koei Tecmo and Sony Interactive Entertainment. In reviews, it is most often compared with the Dark Souls and Ninja Gaiden series (Team Ninja also did the relaunch of the latter).
