Worms creators intend to sell shares for £200 million

The British developer and publisher Team17 plans to list shares on the London Stock Exchange. The company expects to earn £200 million on this.

The company’s plans were announced by The Times. According to the resource, Team17 will make an official announcement about the upcoming entry into the stock market in the coming days.

Team17 is known as the author of the Worms tactical series. In addition, the company is one of the largest game publishers in the UK, which has released such famous titles as The Escapists, Overcooked and Yooka—Laylee.

The previous time Team17 raised funds was two years ago, receiving $21.8 million from investor Lloyds Development Capital. With this money, Team17 bought the studio Mouldy Toof Studios, which created a mobile prison escape simulator The Escapists.
