GREE's quarterly profit fell by 84%
Japanese mobile developer GREE has reported on the results of the last quarter. The company’s revenues grew by 45%, but profits fell by 84.2% compared to the same period last year.
The company earned $190.6 million, but received a benefit of only $16.8 million.
In the last three months, GREE has conducted two large promo campaigns for the mobile role-playing games SINoALICE and Another Eden, which were released this year.
Another Eden received regular updates with game content, and characters from the popular and successful action game NieR: Automata were added to SINoALICE.
According to GREE, Senki Zesshou SYMPHOGEAR XD Unlimited and Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon: Memoria Freeze also became box office titles this half-year.
Next year, GREE intends to bring one internal title and five external titles to the market.
