Tencent's revenue from mobile games exceeded the revenue of PC titles for the first time
According to the results of the 2nd quarter of 2017, the Chinese corporation Tencent earned more on mobile games for the first time than on PC titles.
This is reported in the company’s quarterly report.
Compared to the second quarter of 2016, this year Tencent’s total revenue reached $8.56 billion, an increase of 59%.
Of these funds, revenues from mobile games accounted for $2.2 billion, while PC games earned a little more than $2 billion.
The main driver of Tencent’s gaming revenue growth remained the mobile MOBA Honor of Kings. In addition, such games as Contra Return, Dragon Nest Mobile and Legacy TLBB Mobile sold well.
