Mobile games provided 75% of NetEase's quarterly revenue
The gaming division of the Chinese Internet company NetEase earned $1.4 billion in the second quarter of this year. The entire revenue of the organization during this time amounted to $ 2 billion.
Compared to the same period last year, NetEase gaming revenues increased by 46.6%.
One of the main drivers of the company’s growing financial performance has been the success of the Onmyoji mobile card game, which has been launched in South Korea since the beginning of this month and has entered the top ten highest-grossing mobile games in the country.
The role-playing MMO The Westward Journey Mobile, Crusaders of Light and a number of other titles also brought profit.
In the near future, NetEase is planning major updates for existing games, as well as the launch of 13 new projects.
