Mobirate: "the development of one game costs $ 200 thousand"

In his interview with the Russian Forbes, Mobirate CEO Anton Belov said that his company spends $ 200 thousand on the development of one game.

According to him, this is a small price tag due to the regional location of the studio: Mobirate is located in Ulyanovsk. The cost of creating a similar game in Moscow would cost $ 500 thousand.

Now the company has 5 projects in development. They are distributed among 50 employees. It takes Mobirate up to 2 years to complete one project.

According to the interview, the total downloads of all the company’s games are 200 million.

Belov also noted that the company remains profitable, but it does not have a recipe for creating a hit. As a rule, the scheme “I made one game — and it feeds five others” works. That is, for a number of releases there is one successful one that pays for them all.

Feeding for the company were such titles as Billiard Master, the Parking Mania series and RoverCraft (in the picture).
