The creators of the Cocos2d-x engine allocate the SDKBOX plugin integration service to a separate company
Chukong Technologies, the authors of the Cocos2d-x engine, announced the launch of a new company. A studio called SDKBOX will develop the platform of the same name.
The SDKBOX platform was launched by Chukong Technologies in September 2015. Initially, it was created in order to simplify the integration of third-party plugins into the Cocos2d-x engine.
SDKBOX has recently received an update. Now, with the help of this platform, developers can embed the necessary plugins not only in Cocos2d-x, but also in the Unity and Epic Games engines. Since there is a conflict of interest, Chukong Technologies decided to separate the team that is working on the SDKBOX into a separate company. The studio will receive financial support from Chukong Technologies, but otherwise it will be autonomous. The company’s management hopes that as a result, SDKBOX will have more room for growth.
Recall that SDKBOX supports the SDK for IAP and ratings/reviews, as well as third-party SOOMLA Grow, Google Analytics, Flurry Analytics, Fyber, Bee7, Chartboost, AdColony, Vungle, Facebook, Tune, Kochava and AgeCheq.
