WN International Summit in Shanghai, held in partnership with ChinaJoy, brought together record 424 attendees
On July 25, WN x ChinaJoy International Summit in Shanghai set a record attendance for small events organized by WN Media Group. The event for game developers and publishers brought together professionals from Tencent, miHoYo, Bandai Namco, Bilibili, iDreamSky, Scopely, ByteDance, and more.
A total of 357 companies took part in WN x ChinaJoy International Summit Shanghai’24, according to the official report. 64% of them were game developers or publishers, followed by ad companies (34%), platforms (23%), investors (8%), and analytic firms (7%).

The Summit brought together 424 people, an all-time high for WN events of such format. For comparison, last year’s event was attended by 273 industry professionals from 176 companies.
C-level executives accounted for 46% of the total, followed by BD & sales managers (43%), marketing & PR specialists (6%), and game developers (5%).
Attendees by job type
At WN x ChinaJoy International Summit Shanghai’24, attendees could expand their network, exchange experiences, and form new partnerships. In addition, there was a lecture program featuring talks from companies such as Niko Partners, Esigame, MY.GAMES, Supersonic, and Tamatem Games.
WN Media Group organized the event in partnership with ChinaJoy. The companies first joined forces last year, prolonging their collaboration in June 2024.
“Such a significant increase in the number of participants indicates a high level of interest in the event from both the local and international video game development community,” said Julia Lebedeva, COO and partner at WN Media Group.
As for ChinaJoy, the largest game conference in Asia, the 2024 event took place from July 26 to July 28 and brought together 367k people and around 300 companies. The exhibition zone space surpassed 130k square meters.
