Mail.Ru Group canceled business trips and participation in conferences in countries at risk due to coronavirus
In a closed news feed for employees Mail.Ru Group yesterday there was a post with new rules. According to him, “until the situation is clarified,” the company cancels business trips and trips to conferences in those countries that are at risk.
These countries include:
- China;
- Iran;
- Italy;
- South Korea;
- Japan;
- Singapore.
Also Mail.Ru The Group recommends canceling or postponing personal travel abroad, “especially to the specified countries.” If the trip took place, they are asked to work from home for the first two weeks after it.
Given the massive refusal of many companies to participate in events in countries that are not even in the risk zone, such a practice should have appeared sooner or later.
The question is how long the story of the coronavirus hype will last. If the story shifts to the end of spring or the beginning of summer, when the flow of industrial events starts, the year may turn out to be really very difficult for the games market. However, without GDC and I/O, it already starts no matter.
