The Talents In Games conference in Minsk gathered 513 participants
On November 23, an event for game specialists Talents In Games was held in Minsk. Today, on November 27, the organizer — WN Media Group — shared its results.
The main figure of the event is 513. That’s how many listeners attended the conference, which was held for the second time.
Recall that the debut session of Talents In Games took place in June this year in St. Petersburg with the support of the White Nights conference series. Then both events were attended by 2,237 people.
Minsk Talents In Games was held one day in two streams. The first one was dedicated to working with art, and the second one was dedicated to working with code.
In the hall for artists, Jama Jurabayev made a presentation with cases of concept art development. He told how he worked on sketches for Hollywood blockbusters. There was also a workshop by Ivan Smirnov (Smirnov School), reports by Zakhar Shcherbov (Vizor Games), Polina Navnyko (Belka Games) and other experts. The performances for the artists ended with a round table with Vera Velichko (Owl Studios), Samvel Aramyan (Chameleon 42), Tatiana Vetrova (Sperasoft), Vyacheslav Shidlovsky (Vizor Games) and Roman Kuzmichev (Wargaming), at which the speakers and the audience discussed what the success of the artist in the gaming industry depends on.
In the developer room, the reports began with an extensive review of Unity by Valentin Simonov: new features, stages of readiness and the future of the engine. In addition, Dmitry Fofanov (Banzai Games) presented mathematical models and algorithms of ragdoll’s own physics, and Alexander Tsalko from Deus Craft shared his experience in preparing a Unity project for publication on Google Play Instant. Unity developers were also addressed by Pavel Valakh (Gismart), Vadim Yantbelidze (HighCore Games) and Sergey Khalandachev (Playtika).
Recall that the key difference between Talents In Games from any other gaming events is the focus on specialists. The conference is primarily devoted to reports and analysis of the nuances of creating games. There is no business part and stories about marketing. Talents In Games is only about games and how to make them better.
The organizer has not yet announced when and where the next Talents In Games will take place.
