The German mobile games market has reached $2.8 billion. This is significantly more than in Russia

App Annie reports that German residents spent $2.8 billion on mobile games in 2021. For comparison, the turnover of the Russian mobile games market for the same period amounted to only $ 1.05 billion.

We have already written more about the state of affairs in Russia a little earlier. Let’s just note that we had a relatively weak annual increase in the cash register — by only $120 million. This is less than the increase in 2020, when it was at the level of $190 million.

And this is a significant difference in the German market. Firstly, the increase in user spending on mobile games in 2021 here amounted to a significant $ 500 million. Consider it one-fifth of the market at once. Secondly, spending on mobile games in the country has not fallen very significantly relative to 2020 (minus $80 million). Thirdly, $500 million was spent with a drop in downloads (in Russia, for example, it was not noted at all).

By the way, in terms of downloads, the Germans are much less active than the Russians. During the year, 823 million game downloads were made in Germany. 2.73 billion game downloads were made in Russia last year.
