Sensor Tower: In June, gamers spent over $42 million in Clash Royale

Sensor Tower analysts talked about the new successes of Clash Royale. In June, the Supercell game earned $42.5 million in the App Store and Google Play. The last time this happened was in 2019 after the introduction of the battle pass strategy.

As the Pocket Gamer portal points out, the current growth in user spending may be due to the appearance of fresh content in Clash Royale.

In March, the developer added “magic items” to the title — resources with which you can improve or get additional in-game items. For example, a joker card of the legendary level is able to pump any other card of the same level of rarity, and the legendary card book will add to the user’s deck all the cards that are needed to move to the next level.

Along with player spending, Clash Royale’s downloads also increased in June. During the month, the game gained 5.5 million installs — this is the best figure since September 2020.

Note that in February, Supercell stated that it was dissatisfied with last year’s Clash Royale results. According to the developer, the company almost did not release updates for the game and did not hold regular events. Supercell was going to fix this in 2021.

Now Clash Royale is one of the four projects of the company that has earned over a billion dollars. At the moment, its revenue has reached $3.3 billion.
