The Verge: Microsoft will remove a free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription from the employee bonus program

Starting in January 2024, most Microsoft employees will no longer receive an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for free. This is reported by The Verge, citing sources.

According to the publication, the free subscription will remain only in the bonus program of the employees of the gaming department. The rest will be offered a discount on the annual rate.

Some people were unhappy with Microsoft's decision and began actively discussing it in corporate chats. As a result, sources tell The Verge, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer heard their complaints. He informed the staff that he was unaware of the changes and promised to look into the situation.
